i've just finished my s7 rewatch and it's kinda so funny to me how much discourse people created over every bucktommy interaction when their whole arc boils down to tommy being patient and vulnerable with buck and showing up for him. like when you are not wearing shipper goggles under the name of "analysis" and don't try to reverse-engineer every word and look and shot with utmost bad faith, that's what it is. a simple and sweet story of a new exciting relationship with a guy who's understanding and willing to show up. literally the two things buck needs from a relationship but never had with his previous love interests. they are kinda sickeningly sweet and well-communicating actually lol

Or well, at least one of them for now. Either way White Lily Cookie was down for the count(almost immediately flicked into a tree by a shadow hand), and Pure Vanilla was tending to her leaving you as the only adult between Shadow Milk Cookie and GingerBrave and friends. There was almost literally no way this could get worse. However, you are very reckless and stupid. " Hey!" You called out to the beast, what you're about to do is rather nerve racking, but since when have you cared about your nerves? Never, that's when. This could get you crumbled, but that's a risk you are willing to take. You almost shudder as you feel the plethora of eyes from the shadows and Shadow Milk Cookie's own two eyes stare at you, brimming with curiosity. " Oh? Does another audience member want to try their hand at beating me?" He chuckled, his grin wide and manic as he gestured to the other fallen cookies around them. " I wouldn't advise that unless you want your dough to crack." " No, I've just got a question." You begin, you can see his brow raise with curiosity. " ... Are you from Tennessee? You can hear Wizard Cookie mumble under his breath, with GingerBrave responding with a " No no, let them cook.-" It, it actually looks like you threw him off his rhythm. It looks like he's questioning what the fuck a Tennessee is, good, you don't know either. Shadow Milk Cookie is just staring at you, almost dumbfoundedly with a light blue fluster on his cheeks. It takes him a moment before he realizes just what you're doing. He crouches onto the floor, picking you up with a confused, and maybe a bit flustered, grin. " Are you flirting with me right now?" He asks, barely concealing a chuckle under his breath. You lean forwards in his grasp, resting your chin on your hand and fluttering whatever cookie eyelashes you have at him. " Maybe I am." You begin, " Is it working?" " ... Maybe." He mumbled out, looking off to the side.

For the Swanatello fam: what does everyone miss most about Donnie during his lake-induced absences?

for donnie, leo will gladly give every scrap of patience and grace and gentleness he has. he doesn't mind explaining things. he doesn't mind telling his brother the same things over and over. he doesn't mind it when donnie forgets or doesn't understand or needs his help to remember or process things.

but he misses the banter. the back-and-forth. the stupid fights and pranks and 'you said's' and 'i told you so's.' and, perhaps a bit selfishly, he misses when he didn't always feel like he had to be the bigger person for him. he misses when he still had the space to be childish and immature and petty towards his twin, and it wouldn't hurt either of them the way it tends to now.

What did/do you like about Pharah?

Uh, gameplay-wise, I really love characters in shooters who rely on three-dimensional movement techs. Chaining together hover and jump to stay in the air for as long as possible and keep momentum is so satisfying, and picking enemies off from the sky made me feel like a bird of prey. I was a good Pharah main.

Story-wise, there unfortunately isn't much to canonically go off because Pharah is so underutilized and neglected. Her personality's pretty boilerplate "heroic hero" (she's literally inspired by Captain America).

But it's the crumbs/bits and pieces that I really latched onto. Pharah's a confirmed lesbian; her short story with Baptiste implies she harbors a crush on Mercy (fucking thank you.). She's biracial Egyptian/First Nations. She has major mommy issues, having grown up both admiring and resenting Ana. She's the bridge between Old Overwatch, inspired by the idealized heroes who surrounded her childhood, and New Overwatch. She's one of the only inter-generational characters in the cast; someone whose experiences span the gap, which is why I seriously believe Pharah would make a great main character.

There isn't much to go off of, though; she's a very uncomplicated character (she's a soldier for a private military corporation, lol.). But that just means she's a blank slate character, so I've seen fanfic writers run wild and create some really interesting takes on her. My favorite interpretation of her's a dense, herbo gym-bro type (a lot of her liens are about work outs, exercising, and playing sports) who's easily excitable under her seemingly self-serious, armored visage. We see how she tends to gloat and hype herself up when she's on a streak too, so Pharah definitely has a competitive and boastful side under her more professional and militant performance.

Now Mercy? Mercy is a real complex character.
